BlueRateCard

Guide

YouTube rate card template (2026)

YouTube deals die in email when mid-roll, dedicated, Shorts, and usage are one vague number. Build a card with separate SKUs, one revision round by default, and payment before you script. Swap the example dollars for your view math.

This page is not legal, tax, financial, or other professional advice. For a live deal, talk to a lawyer and a tax or finance specialist in your jurisdiction — BlueRateCard is not either.

Examples use ~40,000 average long-form views. Your niche CPM and production load may sit higher or lower — this is a structure, not a market quote.

Illustrative. Mid-roll assumes ~40k views × $25 CPM. Dedicated at 2.5×. Shorts as a lighter SKU. One script/revision round in each long-form package.

If they want dedicated production at mid-roll pay, send both rows and wait. Do not shrink the dedicated line to win the email.

What not to mix

  • Shorts inventory is not a free cutdown of the dedicated — price it or refuse.
  • Exclusivity is a calendar lock, not a usage right.
  • Pre-roll mentions (if you sell them) sit below mid-roll, not at dedicated rates.

Payment

Long production cycles make Net-after-post toxic. Prefer deposit or a platform payment hold before scripting.

YouTube rate card questions

+What SKUs belong on a YouTube rate card?

At minimum: mid-roll integration (60–90s), dedicated video, and Shorts if you sell them. Add usage, exclusivity, extra revisions, and cutdowns as separate lines — not “sponsorship TBD.”

+How do I set a mid-roll price from views?

Take average or median views on recent long-form videos ÷ 1,000 × your niche CPM ask. Example: 40,000 views × $25 CPM = $1,000 mid-roll floor before extras.

+Is a dedicated video just 2× the mid-roll?

Often 2–4× depending on production and topic fit. Put both numbers on the card so brands self-select instead of talking you into a dedicated at mid-roll pay.

+Do YouTube packages include unlimited script revisions?

No. Include one script/revision round in the base fee. Extra legal review rounds are add-ons. A full reshoot after approval is a new SKU.

+How is this different from the dedicated vs integration rates page?

That page compares two formats. This page is the full card layout — packages, Shorts, add-ons, terms — you can host as one link.
