Instagram + TikTok cross-post package rate

Brands love “post on both for one price.” Give them a package that is cheaper than two full singles — and still far above one platform. Same spine, light edits, organic only unless usage is paid.

Figures and workflows here are illustrations, not financial, tax, or accounting advice. Talk to a tax or finance specialist in your jurisdiction before you invoice, set payment terms, or treat a number as a rate you should charge.

Examples use a $500 TikTok native and $800 Instagram Reel. Swap your real singles.

Package math (same creative spine)

BuyHow to computeExample
TikTok aloneYour TT native$500
Instagram Reel aloneYour IG Reel$800
Two singles à la carteSum$1,300
Cross-post package (same spine)0.85 × ($500+$800)$1,105
Alt: 1.7× stronger single (IG)1.7 × $800$1,360 (use when TT ≪ IG)
Unique shoot each platform~95–100% of sum$1,235–$1,300

Prefer “~85% of the sum of both organics” when platforms are close in price. Prefer “1.65–1.8× the expensive single” when one platform dwarfs the other.

Worked quote: IG Reel + TikTok + Spark

LineAmount
Cross-post package (IG Reel + TT, same spine)$1,105
TikTok Spark 30d+$200
Meta paid usage 30d (IG only)+$320
Total$1,625

Without Spark/usage the package is $1,105 — not $500 “and also Instagram.”

Cross-post package questions

+How much should an Instagram + TikTok package cost?

Usually ~1.6–1.85× your stronger single platform rate when both posts use the same creative spine with light platform edits — not 1.0× “post everywhere.” Two fully unique shoots sit closer to 1.9–2.0×.

+Is cross-post the same as a collab post?

No. Collab is a co-authored Instagram feed post. Cross-post is you posting on two (or more) of your channels. Different SKUs.

+Do I discount for one shoot?

Yes, a little — that is the package value. Do not give away the second platform for free because “it is the same file.” Captions, hooks, and posting windows still cost time.

+Does the package include Spark or paid usage?

Organic on both unless stated. Spark and Meta ads usage are separate lines per platform.

+Should YouTube Shorts sit in the same package?

Optional third platform add-on (~+0.35–0.5× of the primary single), not free. Price Shorts alone on the Shorts rates page.
